The Singapore Dragon Boat Festival - a staple among the local races.

This is one of the big annual race events in Singapore that every team trains extra hard for. Organized by SDBA, usually in partnership with the Peoples Association and Temasek Polytechnic, the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival 2013 takes place on 6st July and 7thst July 2013. The race distance is 800 mtr. and that is a tough one. For this kind of distance, you need to be not just an average paddler, but "race fit" as they call it. Once you have done a few heats, perhaps some back-to-back ones as well, you know what that means. Training extra hard for this one is a must, if you want to show a respectful performance. The venue for the 2013 Singapore Dragon Boat Festival will be the Bedok Reservoir.
